There’s no more over watering or under watering. In comparison with traditional soil cultivation methods, hydroponics systems can save up to 95% of water.
EHF chooses to use methods of hydroponics via gutter grow and self wicking system to maximize our water use and growing efficacies of control for our vegetables and berry fruits.
We do also grow some vegetables in more traditional methods as well.
We use a combination of nutrients depending on what we are growing.
In some explorations of growth we use what we can readily find on our farm and use a homemade filtration system to produce our own nutrient blend with our rabbit manure.
Rabbit manure is a beneficial fertilizer for hydroponics due to its high nutrient content, particularly nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, and its unique NPK ratio of 2-1-1. These nutrients are crucial for plant growth and development in hydroponic systems. Additionally, rabbit manure breaks down quickly, making nutrients readily available to the plants.
