Purchase Agreement

Rabbit Purchase Agreement 

At Emerald Hill Farm, we care deeply about the health and wellbeing of our rabbits. All rabbits are sold on a first come, first served basis, and we do not sell any rabbits under eight weeks of age. If you would like us to hold a rabbit for you, or if we are meeting you at a show for pickup, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Deposits may be paid by PayPal (Friends and Family, or with the buyer covering the 3% processing fee) or by cash in person. A rabbit will be held for a maximum of two weeks unless prior arrangements are made, after which it may be offered to other buyers. The balance must be paid in full before or at the time of pickup or delivery, using PayPal or cash. The buyer, or their appointed agent (notified to us ahead of time of pick up), must inspect the rabbit at pickup, and once the rabbit has been paid for in full and leaves our care, the sale is finalized and the rabbit becomes the full property of the buyer.

We guarantee that all rabbits are healthy at the time of sale, showing no signs of illness such as diarrhea, nasal discharge, or eye discharge. If a transporter is used, they will inspect the rabbit on behalf of the buyer, and once the rabbit leaves Emerald Hill Farm, we cannot be responsible for its health or safety. We cannot guarantee against disease, injury, or death once the rabbit has left our care, nor can we be held responsible for issues caused by extreme temperatures, malnutrition, improper housing, accidents with other animals, or exposure to illness during travel, shows, or at the buyer’s property. Veterinary costs, personal injury, or property damage caused by a rabbit are not our responsibility.

We do not knowingly sell rabbits with aggressive personalities, but we cannot guarantee that a rabbit’s behavior will not change after leaving our care. Such changes are often caused by stress or improper handling. While we do not offer refunds or replacements for behavioral changes, we encourage buyers to contact us if they encounter aggression, as we are happy to provide guidance. Once a sale is finalized, no refunds are offered. We will, however, assist with rehoming a rabbit purchased from us if needed, though due to limited cage space we may ask that the rabbit remain at your property while we help find a suitable new home.

Rabbits sold as brood quality may include disqualifications but will have redeeming traits that make them valuable for breeding. We do not guarantee fertility, conception, or mothering ability. While we will not knowingly sell a rabbit with reproductive issues, breeding success depends on many factors outside of our control, and therefore no refunds or replacements will be given for lack of reproduction.

By purchasing a rabbit from Emerald Hill Farm, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of the above policies.

Emerald Hill Farm takes on no liability for accessing our website and we take no transactions via our website as of September 2025. Anyone who views this site takes full responsibility of
